Back on the Road - Sick Baby
We are back on the road. I begged to stay on the ground this year with a new baby. I was pleading my case to a bunch of guys. They just don’t get it.
Our flight was delayed coming out of Nashville by 2 hours. Then we missed our connection in Denver. When we got on the next plane, they pulled it from the gate only to have us sit on an inactive runway to fix a mechanical issue. Then we had to wait for them to get re-fueled. It was so hard on the kids. We were on a plane for 10 hrs with delays. We finally arrived in Reno at 10 (midnight our time).
Today Jonah has been miserable. We are at a fair in Susanville, CA. He won’t stop fussing, he has a fever, and he only sleeps for short stints. There’s an Urgent Care down the road. When he wakes up, I may take him down there. It breaks my heart to see him so miserable. I feel so helpless.
Noahs doing OK. He’s napping too. Last night wore those kids out. The Browns are coming out to hang with us today, so Noahs nap is crucial. The Browns are my husbands relatives. WE LOVE THE BROWNS. Jason Brown is 8. He and Noah were jumping all over the beds on the bus last night. They had so much fun together. Today, they will go to the fair together and have more time to play.
Things are still up in the air, but, I had a minute to write, so , I thought I would fill you in. I’ll give you an update tomorrow.
