Recap on Yesterday - Susanville, CA
Well, we made it through yesterday. It was stressful with Jonah being sick. The good part was, “The Browns”. My husband and I adore them. The entire family came out to get us at the airport when we flew in yesterday. The entire family, also, came to the venue to see the show and spend time with us. They are so easy to be around. They don’t judge, they’re not self seeking. They just hang with us and we talk and joke around.
Julie Brown (the mom) helped settle my nerves a bit with Jonah, just by being here. She helped check him for teeth possibly growing in (we thought maybe that’s what caused fever). She gave pointers and tricks for when he DOES start to have teeth growing in. She’s just so kind. And she is THE BEST mother. Her kids, Justin and Jason, are amazing. Justin is 21 and still spends time with his folks. He works with the forrest dept. He was out in Utah for 3 weeks fighting the wild fires. Jason, well, he and noah are 2 peas in a pod. He is 8 and is the most polite child I’ve ever met. .
Noah and Jason at the fair together. They are Buddies
Joe Brown (the Dad) is so funny and after 26 yrs (?) still adores his wife. They’re best friends. I’ve never seen them “bicker”, I’ve never seen them argue. They just seem to “Fit”. It’s easy, comfortable. They don’t bash each other or demean each other. They go places and do things together because they want to. They set a good example for their kids.
The show ? It went pretty good. I wish I was on California time already. When we went on stage it was 8:30PM. That’s 10:30PM to my body. I didn’t have as much energy as I wanted, but, the people made it so much fun. I don’t know where they all came from, but, they were all there. Singing, screaming, dancing. It turned out to be an awesome day. Thank you to all the fans and, of course, the Browns ;-)
