Leg Day - DUI
Ha! I knew that title would get your attention.
I had a long trip out west and am now back in Nashville working with my trainer. Today was “leg day”. For a runner, my legs are not as strong as you would think. When it’s “leg day”, it’s always a tough one. Today we started on the bike, 3 minutes seated 90 RPMs, 3 min standing 60 RPMs. Repeat a million times. At least it seemed like a million times. Then we moved to weighted step ups. 3 sets. From there we did dead lifts and moved to the weight machines. On the machines we did pushes, (like squats on your back). Quad raises. Hamstrang curls. By the time I was done, I couldn’t walk straight. I thought to myself, what if I got pulled over by the police driving home and was given a sobriety test? There’s no way I would pass it. My legs were too wobbly. They were like Jello. Would they believe “it was leg day”. Has anyone ever used that excuse ?
All that to say, if I ever got pulled over on “Leg Day”, I’d probably be arrested for DUI ;-)
