Name Change
I find it interesting that you can get a fake ID with little effort. When you get married and have to change your last name, it’s a bit of paperwork, but, it’s not that hard to do. If you legally want to change the middle name of your child ? I would have figured, you’d fill out some forms, mail them in and wait a bit - but then Bam! it’s done. NO WAY !!!
Since our first son was about 6 months old, we wanted to change his middle name to James. We felt it would be nice to have our son named after `my husbands brother. Afer all, he loves our son and has always been interested in being a part of his life. Now that our second son Jonah Christopher was born, that cinched it. Both boys would have middle names, being the first name of my husband and his brother. James and Christopher. It’s going to take some serious effort though. Can you believe to change our sons middle name we have to hire an attorney and go to court stating why we want to change his name and that we both wish to have it done? It’s crazy. I wouldn’t have guessed it would be that hard. But, it will be worth it. I’ve always called Noah, “Noah James”. He doesn’t know his original middle name. Nor would he understand why we chose that name to begin with. As far as he knows, he was named after his uncle Jamey who he loves very much. He will tell you that himself ;-) Now, we just need to get that onto paper. So, in the end, it will all be worth it.
