THE FUMBLING MOM

My son spends a great deal of time in the garden with my husband. imageWhen they were out yesterday my son had said “God is going to make all these plants grow, right?”  My husband then told him “God gives us what we need. The sun, the seeds, the soil. But, we need to take care of it to help the plants grow.  We have to weed the garden. Water it. tend to the plants and then they will grow big and strong”. It’s a lesson that my son can use through his life. Not just planting a garden, but, with all that he does. If we have talents that go unattended to, we won’t see them flourish. If we have relationships that we ignore, they fall apart.  We get out what we put into things. If we put in garbage, we get out garbage. If we give no effort we get nothing back.

I sware that garden is one of the best things for the kids to learn lifes fundemental lessons. Oh! and it teaches them to eat healthy foods ;-)
